The acquisition included a major refurbishment
The new owner invested in structural renewal, machinery overhaul and class-required improvements. The vessel was built in Vietnam in 2011; the purchase combined existing cargo capacity with a substantial condition upgrade.
SVC completed the transaction and worked through the class-transition requirements. The project moved from non-IACS class to an IACS society before delivery on 8 April 2024.
Repair scope and class requirements in the purchase
The repair programme and class requirements were central to the acquisition. Structural renewals and machinery overhaul formed the project worklist; the classification society assessed the class requirements.
The acquisition worklist brought the refurbishment programme and class requirements together with the purchase and delivery timetable.
Acquiring a multipurpose vessel for renewed service
For a similar purchase, send the cargo and port requirements, target capacity, age range and intended class. SVC inspects the appointed areas, prices the repair worklist with the client and negotiates price and MOA conditions under the mandate.
Our superintendent can attend the appointed drydock scope, check yard progress and record outstanding items before handover. See pre-purchase inspection and completed sales.
