Galley replenishment for Lao-Viet Port calls
SVC replenishes ship galleys at Lao-Viet Port in Vung Ang. We prepare food orders around the cook’s priorities, storage space and available receiving window, from the next meal requirements to the vessel’s wider voyage replenishment.
01
Mark the next meal requirements on the actual list
We prepare the first galley load around the cook’s immediate meal requirements. Separate immediate fresh items from pantry or frozen replenishment for the rest of the supply period. An urgent subject line alone does not tell the purchasing team which incomplete line matters most.
SVC returns the offered food and packs for acceptance. If the cook is considering alternatives, record the accepted product against the original request. Keep dietary instructions visible on the relevant items and confirm any required product documentation before purchase.
02
Use a receiving cut-off the vessel can meet
Our team plans a receiving cut-off that fits the vessel’s working window. If cargo work, a ship movement or another attendance affects the route aboard, state that constraint before dispatch is agreed.
A short call may require the receiver to prioritise one load or department. Agree which food is going first and how the chilled or frozen packages will reach their intended storage. The remaining goods should follow a revised receiving instruction rather than an assumed second delivery window.
03
Keep the count useful to the cook
We keep food counts, preparation and pack contents clear for the cook. The cook needs to distinguish a carton of portions from a carton of whole products and to see the accepted quantity without opening every package to reconstruct the order.
SVC prepares the line-based packing list for that handover. Keep any technical-store packages under separate descriptions and receivers. Mixing requisitions under one call plan should not turn food, cleaning products and machinery components into an undifferentiated load.
04
Manage the outstanding requisition after receipt
We close the first receipt and prepare the outstanding food list for the next load. Recalculate the balance from that receipt rather than ordering the original list again. Where products or packs change for the balance, return the revised proposal to the buyer for acceptance.
For a later port, identify the new destination and receiving arrangement alongside the outstanding quantities. A completed first-load receipt and an open balance can coexist; the delivery record should make that clear without claiming the full requisition went aboard.

Questions about Galley replenishment for Lao-Viet Port calls
Can the cook prioritise only part of the order?
Yes. Mark the actual first-load products and quantities, approve offered alternatives and agree the receiving window. Keep later quantities on a separate balance list.
What if the ship departs before the balance is ready?
Provide the next intended receiving call and review the outstanding quantities and proposed products. A previous berth instruction does not establish delivery at the next port.
