Marine air-conditioning repair at Vung Ang
SVC carries out marine air-conditioning repairs at Vung Ang. Our technicians investigate cooling faults, repair or replace affected components and check the plant’s operation, drawing on practical onboard experience with marine cooling systems.
01
Describe where and when cooling is affected
Our technicians investigate the affected spaces, plant and operating symptoms. Send the readings, alarms and maintenance history available to the vessel, with the conditions under which the symptoms appeared.
A complaint about cabin temperature does not by itself identify a failed valve or compressor. Distinguish the crew’s observation from a suspected cause so the initial attendance can be scoped as investigation where the equipment still needs examination.
02
Identify the circuit before selecting a component
We identify the circuit, refrigerant and component application before fitting replacement parts. For an expansion valve, retain the body and any separate element identification. Components from similar-looking circuits may have different selection and connection requirements.
SVC separates the proposed part from the fitting work, any refrigerant-handling tasks and further circuit investigation. Where the original reference is incomplete, state that gap before treating a replacement proposal as a confirmed match.
03
Agree access and the onboard repair sequence
Our team carries out the repair sequence around onboard access and plant isolation. Identify access restrictions, shared equipment and other work affecting the appointment. The vessel and technicians need an agreed isolation and working arrangement for the identified circuit.
The quotation should state the investigation, component supply, removal, fitting and proposed checks included. Additional defects found during attendance require their own worklist entry rather than an assumed extension of the original valve or parts order.
04
Handover should distinguish work from readings
We hand over the completed work and the operating readings taken during checks. List the checks actually made with any resulting readings and conditions. If a test or performance check was not performed, leave it outstanding rather than treating the component work alone as proof of restored cooling capacity.
A/C work and galley provision receipt may fall within the same port call, but each needs its own access or receiving window. Keep the food order and any cold-storage limitations visible to the vessel team while the technical appointment is being planned.

Questions about Marine air-conditioning repair at Vung Ang
Does a poor-cooling report mean the expansion valve must be renewed?
No. Give the circuit identification and actual observations so the fault investigation can be defined. Component selection follows the identified application and the work agreed for it.
Can food delivery and A/C attendance be planned for one call?
Yes, with separate work and receiving instructions. Advise the vessel’s available spaces, storage arrangements and schedule so the repair and food requisition are each clearly scoped.
