Marine generator and electric motor repair in Vietnam
SVC Marine generator and motor repair records: rotor interchange, electrical checks and stator rewinding. Send the equipment details and Vietnam port window.
01
Marine generator and motor repair
SVC Marine repairs marine generators and electric motors in Vietnam, including generator rotor interchange, motor rewinding and associated electrical checks. The work scope identifies the alternator, driving engine, motor and controls separately so the right inspection, parts and repair work can be quoted.
Send the readings and checks already made by the vessel, together with drawings and available maker information. SVC uses the equipment details and recorded symptoms to assess the inspection scope and whether repair, replacement or rewinding should be quoted.

02
Generator rotor interchange
The auxiliary generator rotor interchange record shows an opened generator, rotor handling, coupling alignment measurement and electrical checking scenes. The photographs show access and component handling as well as the machine itself. They help explain why an enquiry needs space, lifting and operating-window information.
For a rotor-related request, identify the alternator separately from the driving engine. State the component references and whether a proposed replacement has been identified. Include coupling, foundation and connection drawings where available. Explain the access route and any limits on removing a component from the machinery space. Compatibility and final work requirements need assessment against the actual equipment.
03
Motor and stator rewinding
The Son Duong motor rewinding record includes stator winding photographs. A separate Phu My record shows motor disconnection for rewinding. The marine electric generator record provides another winding-related reference.
A winding enquiry should identify the machine rating, voltage, frequency, enclosure and operating duty from the documented specification. Supply the equipment reference, fault history and readings already recorded. If a machine is intended for workshop work, state the removal and refitting arrangements and the required return window. Keep cables, terminals and associated controls within a clearly described scope rather than assuming they are included.
04
Separate machinery work from electrical work
An auxiliary engine and its alternator may be inspected during one attendance, but the worklist should keep the mechanical and electrical tasks distinct. The engine overhaul and maintenance record is a related machinery reference. It should not be used to imply that a motor rewind includes engine overhaul.
Define which components are being inspected, repaired or replaced. State whether onboard work, workshop work or both are requested. Parts availability, component suitability and the vessel's operating needs affect the agreed plan. List any restrictions on equipment outages and the time available for returning the machine to service under the vessel's arrangements.
05
Tests and handover records
Ask the quotation to state the checks and tests proposed for the identified machine. The maker documentation, operating requirements and agreed scope determine the relevant acceptance records. Electrical measurements, alignment information and operating checks should be connected to the equipment reference and the work actually performed.
Agree the equipment-specific measurements, operating checks, reports and witness arrangements before attendance. Completion records should identify the machine, the work performed and the checks required for handover. This gives the superintendent a clear basis for reviewing the completed repair.
06
Plan attendance around the actual port call
Send the port or anchorage, ETA, ETD, available working period and any vessel restrictions with the defect list. SVC reviews the required access, planned cargo operations and other work that affects attendance. The quotation identifies inspection, parts, fabrication, onboard labour, testing and any attendance by a Surveyor. Agree the required completion records, witness arrangements and handover responsibilities before work starts so each item can be followed through to completion.
For a wider worklist, use SVC Marine ship repair services. Email the repair enquiry with drawings, equipment references and photographs through the private enquiry channel. SVC Marine is proud to help complete the full lifecycle of a vessel.

FAQ
Does every generator fault need a rotor change?
No. Identify the equipment and recorded symptoms so the inspection and repair scope can be assessed.
What is needed for a motor winding enquiry?
Send the documented ratings, maker, model, operating duty, fault history and removal or return window.
Is auxiliary engine overhaul included with alternator work?
Only when it is separately included in the agreed worklist and quotation.
