01

Prepare the leaking area and tube stoppers

The job addressed leaking boiler tubes by preparing the affected area and fabricating the stoppers for the agreed repair. Dimensions, material and access are defined before the fitting work begins.

02

Temporary repair and the permanent worklist

Temporary plugging addresses the commissioned leak-repair scope. For another boiler, the vessel’s condition and inspection requirements determine whether plugging, tube renewal or a different repair is appropriate. Agree isolation, access and the required post-repair checks with the chief engineer before attendance.
