Engine filters, gaskets and spares at Son Duong

SVC supplies engine filters, gaskets, seals and machinery spares at Son Duong. Our team works with the chief engineer’s equipment references and practical fitting requirements to deliver the right components, with onboard fitting and repair available alongside the stores supply.

01

Identify the assembly and the component

Our team identifies the assembly and the component needed by the engine room. A filter housing is different from its element; a valve assembly is different from its service kit. Explain which part the vessel retains and which part must be replaced.

A nameplate photograph and the relevant drawing can resolve an incomplete description. Retain any suffix or revision that changes the component. If the vessel’s reference is unreadable, record that gap and send the dimensions or connection information needed for identification rather than treating a catalogue resemblance as a confirmed match.

02

Specify the dimensions that determine fit

We check the dimensions, sealing surfaces and connection details that determine fit. For gaskets, send the mating connection, dimensions and specified material or service requirement. For hoses and fittings, show both ends, connection type and the measurements that determine whether they will mate with the retained equipment.

SVC quotes the proposed component against those inputs. A requested equivalent needs a clear description and the engineer’s acceptance. Matching one visible dimension does not settle the material, service rating or connection details of the full part.

03

Separate supply from removal and installation

SVC supplies the parts and carries out fitting work as distinct, clearly described tasks. Removal, isolation, fabrication, fitting and operating checks need identifiable worklist lines. The stores purchase should not conceal a repair task that cannot be completed within the receiving window.

For a component that needs inspection before final identification, request that attendance explicitly. SVC can then quote the inspection and the later proposed spare as separate stages, with the findings defining what must be ordered. State the vessel’s sailing deadline and the machinery’s availability for access.

04

Receive spares by their equipment reference

We pack spares against their equipment references so the chief engineer can allocate them correctly. Distinguish loose seals or fittings from a complete kit, and retain the agreed documentation with the relevant line. The receiver should be able to allocate a package to the intended engine or auxiliary without reconstructing the enquiry.

Any mismatch found on receipt should remain an identified exception. Do not fit an unaccepted alternative merely to close the delivery record. Send the corrected reference or measurement so the outstanding supply can be quoted accurately for the next available window.

Questions about Engine filters, gaskets and spares at Son Duong

Can a photograph replace the part number?

It helps identify the component but may not establish all dimensions, material or ratings. Send the maker, model, drawings and measurable connection details available to the vessel.

Can the stores quote include fitting?

Yes, if requested as a separate defined task. Identify access, isolation, installation interfaces and the checks needed so parts supply and onboard labour are both clear.

08

Request a Son Duong service quotation

Email the SVC supply desk with the item list, specification or food preparation, pack contents, quantity and receiving window. Include the actual Son Duong berth or nominated position and the latest vessel schedule. SVC returns the proposed scope and outstanding confirmations for acceptance.
