01

From the vessel to the workshop

The project at Cam Pha Anchorage began with onboard inspection of the hatch cover hydraulic cylinders. The recorded work included staging and support, draining hydraulic oil, disconnecting hoses and extracting the upper and lower pins before removing the cylinders.

02

Overhaul and testing

The cylinders were transferred to the workshop for dismantling, cleaning and inspection of the rod, piston, sealing components and internal surfaces. Defective components were repaired or renewed, the cylinders reassembled and hydraulic pressure testing carried out.

03

Reinstallation onboard

SVC Marine returned the cylinders to the vessel, reinstalled them, restored the hydraulic connections, filled oil and bled air from the system. A running test followed with the vessel crew.

04

Connected repair scopes

The case links onboard attendance, workshop overhaul and operation testing in one repair job. For similar work, send cylinder and pin photographs, drawings or maker particulars, defect details and the vessel's working window.

05

Plan the removal and return to the vessel

For a new cylinder overhaul, send the cylinder identification, available drawings and photographs of the cylinder, pins and hose connections. State how many cylinders require work and describe the leak or operating fault. The berth or anchorage, ETA and available working window help define the removal, workshop and return stages.
