Supply and cargo
Our lashing crews secure machinery, heavy equipment, steel structures and breakbulk cargo in Vietnam. We lay dunnage, fit chocks, tension lashings and carry out agreed sea-fastening work on board or at the loading site.
SVC prepares the crew, tools and materials for the cargo and loading window, checks the completed work with the vessel or appointed surveyor, and records the securing arrangement before sailing.

Send the cargo and loading details to our cargo lashing team. We review the work location, material requirements, crew and shifts, then quote the securing scope and completion records.

We secure equipment on its agreed stowage footprint, with dunnage, chocking and lashings suited to the cargo base and securing points. The work package identifies fragile parts, hoses, coatings and areas where direct contact is restricted.
Our crew positions dunnage and restraints for steel structures, frames and other industrial units. The loading sequence and available working space determine when each unit can be secured and checked.
Cargo may need timber separation, edge protection, chains, wire or webbing, and temporary steel restraints. We prepare the specified materials and carry out the arrangement agreed for that shipment.

Dunnage and chocks form part of the working arrangement, rather than an afterthought once the cargo is loaded. Our crew lays the specified timber or other bearing material, checks its position against the cargo footprint and fits the agreed chocks.
We check for uneven bearing, unprotected edges, contact with sensitive equipment and changes to the planned cargo position. A mismatch is raised with the responsible vessel or survey party before that part of the work continues.

The material list identifies the chains, wire, turnbuckles, shackles, webbing, timber, steel and welding consumables required for the agreed arrangement. Sizes, grades, quantities and requested certificates are checked before mobilisation.
SVC records what is available, ordered, short or rejected, assigns the materials to the cargo units and raises shortages or proposed substitutions before field work. The quotation states which materials SVC supplies and which are supplied by the vessel or cargo owner.

For an agreed sea-fastening scope, our welders and fitters install the specified temporary stoppers, brackets or fabricated steel restraints. The job is planned against the drawings, vessel structure, work location and hot-work conditions.
Welding starts after the relevant vessel, port or terminal permits are in place. No-weld areas, coatings, nearby equipment and fire-watch requirements are included in the work brief. Where formal engineering calculations or a survey approval are required, the appointed engineering or survey party supplies that basis; SVC carries out the agreed physical work.

Cargo weight, centre of gravity, bearing points and securing points must be identified for the arrangement. Vessel information includes the hold or deck location, available strong points, stowage plan and applicable Cargo Securing Manual requirements.
Our supervisor checks those instructions against the location where the crew will work. Deck limits, missing data, a changed cargo orientation or an unsuitable securing point are referred for resolution. We do not infer deck capacity or the cargo centre of gravity from a photograph.

The supervisor briefs the crew on cargo units, loading order, materials, access and the required finish time. Welders, fitters and fire watch are included where the scope calls for them.
The crew lays dunnage, fits chocks and restraints, installs the specified lashings and completes permitted fabrication or welding. The supervisor checks the work as loading advances.
We check lashings, chocks, restraints and cargo protection, make agreed adjustments, and close the vessel or survey comments within the appointed scope. Photographs and the completion record identify the work delivered.

The agreed record documents the actual securing work and any outstanding item. It gives the principal a usable job closeout, rather than an unlabelled folder of photographs.

We also assess cargo lashing at Nghi Son, Hai Phong, Hon Gai, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Cai Mep - Thi Vai, as well as shipyards and fabrication sites. Crew attendance is confirmed for the actual location, access, material supply and working date.

Removal at discharge is quoted as a separate job. It may include releasing lashings, cutting temporary restraints, removing sea-fastening steel, grinding temporary welds and collecting materials.
Send the discharge location, securing drawings or photographs, access conditions and required restoration scope. Cutting and hot work remain subject to the permissions and conditions at that location.

Yes. Our crew carries out the agreed securing work for machinery and heavy equipment, using the cargo weight, centre of gravity, stowage position and securing basis provided for the job.
The work package states the materials SVC supplies and those provided by the vessel or cargo owner. We check quantities, specifications and requested certificates, and flag shortages before mobilisation.
Yes, where welding and fabrication are included in the scope and permitted at the worksite. The arrangement, vessel restrictions, hot-work permits and fire-watch requirements are agreed before that work starts.
It records the cargo units, materials fitted, completed arrangement, photographs and any outstanding items. Physical execution and reporting are separate from formal engineering calculations or master, class or marine warranty survey approval required for the shipment.
De-lashing and sea-fastening removal can be quoted separately against the discharge location, access, securing arrangement and restoration requirements.
SVC plans the team size and shifts against the cargo units, loading sequence, welding requirements and agreed completion time.
Formal securing calculations or sea-fastening engineering should be performed by the appropriately qualified or appointed engineering party where required. SVC Marine can execute the resulting approved field arrangement.
At minimum, provide cargo dimensions, weight, quantity, photographs, location, vessel or loading information and the expected working date. COG, drawings and securing plans should be provided where applicable.

SVC Marine does not hold permanent stock of every lashing material. Availability is confirmed per job, and substitutes are proposed to the client rather than installed silently.
