Shipping from Dung Quat Port: project cargo and vessel chartering
Published
SVC Marine matches cargo from Dung Quat and Quang Ngai to suitable vessels, negotiates freight and charter terms, and carries out the appointed port captaincy, lifting and cargo securing work.
01
Start with the cargo and the loading location
A Dung Quat shipping enquiry may begin with a fabricated structure, industrial machinery, steel bundles or a larger bulk cargo stem. SVC examines the packing list and readiness window, compares suitable tonnage and negotiates the commercial terms against the proposed loading operation.
Send the cargo list, unit dimensions and weights, readiness date and exact loading and discharge locations to [email protected]. For machinery or project units, attach drawings, lifting points and photographs so the vessel and handling proposal starts from the actual cargo.
02
Project cargo from Dung Quat and Quang Ngai
Cargo from factories, fabrication yards and industrial sites can combine long steel members, irregular machinery and heavy individual units. SVC checks the dimensions and loading sequence against hatch openings, hold or deck space, lifting equipment and the destination handling method.
Fabricated modules, shipyard and offshore equipment may need a dedicated voyage, part cargo space or multipurpose tonnage. We compare the practical options before negotiating freight. See project cargo shipping in Vietnam for the drawings and shipment details needed to quote the work.
- Fabricated modules, structures and industrial machinery
- Steel bundles, plates and construction equipment
- Port, marine and shipyard equipment
- Crates, pallets, jumbo bags and selected bulk cargo stems
03
Select tonnage that can load and discharge the units
SVC examines general cargo, geared, multipurpose and heavy-lift capable vessels, mini bulk carriers and other bulk tonnage against the cargo list. A container, flat rack or open-top option is considered when cargo dimensions, routing and available service make it workable.
We check the largest lift, cargo-gear capacity, working radius, hatch access, stowage position and draft requirements. The discharge operation needs the same attention as loading. Our vessel chartering service sets out the cargo and timing particulars for a voyage fixture.
04
Negotiate freight, laycan and the working terms
SVC negotiates the appointed freight and charter terms with shipowners and operators. The fixture discussion covers cargo quantity, shipment window, loading and discharge rates, gear requirements and the responsibilities included in the freight.
FIOS, FILO or liner terms are examined alongside the crane, stevedoring, dunnage, lashing, survey and tally requirements. We address allowed time, weather-working provisions, demurrage and despatch before fixture. The commercial proposal should describe the working arrangement behind the freight figure.
05
Check the exact berth, cargo site and access window
Dung Quat Port and the wider Quang Ngai industrial area cover enquiries from different cargo sites. State the named terminal, berth or anchorage and where the units will be made ready. SVC examines the vessel nomination and loading plan against the actual cargo location and working window.
Berth availability, draft, vessel gear, shore equipment, cargo readiness and site access affect the shipment plan. A nearby industrial address does not establish access to a particular berth. We identify these working constraints before confirming the appointed attendance or loading scope.
06
Our lashing crews and welders secure the cargo
SVC lashing crews install the commissioned dunnage, chocking, chains, wires and securing fittings. Our welders carry out the agreed welded securing or sea-fastening work where the cargo and vessel require it. Cargo weight, centre of gravity, base footprint and securing points determine the worklist.
The Dung Quat project-cargo lashing record shows a completed SVC securing job. For a new shipment, send the stowage drawing, cargo dimensions, lifting information and the loading window. The cargo lashing and securing service explains the material and attendance scope.
07
Floating crane, barge transfer and cargo-gear faults
Where the operation requires a floating crane or barge transfer, SVC examines the proposed lift, crane capacity, outreach, vessel position and loading sequence. We plan the appointed mobilisation and operation against crane availability, access, permissions, barge rotation and weather conditions.
If the vessel cargo gear develops a fault, our technical team examines the equipment and undertakes the commissioned repair. The cargo parties decide the revised loading method, while SVC identifies floating crane work, gear repair and securing as separate parts of the quotation. See floating crane operations in Vietnam.
08
Port captaincy, steel protection and loading records
Our port captain attends the appointed loading or discharge operation, checks the vessel-side sequence and records progress, interruptions and cargo condition. Stowage and handling are checked against the cargo particulars, with issues reported for the master or cargo owner to decide.
Steel and fabricated units need attention to packing, separation, dunnage and exposure during handling. SVC checks its commissioned securing and cargo-care scope and records the work with photographs and attendance notes. The steel and equipment shipping page covers the wider shipment enquiry.
09
Check the shipping documents against the cargo
SVC examines the appointed packing list, shipping instructions and bill-of-lading draft against the cargo particulars and agreed shipment terms. We identify mismatched quantities, descriptions, weights or document references for the responsible party to correct before issue.
The shipment file may also require the commercial invoice, origin certificate, product specification or MSDS, buyer-required certificates, survey and tally records, and lifting drawings. The cargo owner supplies accurate declarations and the relevant export or destination documents; the SVC quotation identifies the document checks commissioned to us.

Information for a Dung Quat freight quotation
A useful enquiry puts the cargo, working locations and timing in one file. Include photographs or drawings where they affect lifting, stowage or securing.
- Cargo description, quantity, packing and cargo-care requirements
- Unit dimensions, gross weights and maximum individual lift
- Lifting points, centre of gravity and stowage drawings where available
- Exact loading site, terminal and discharge location
- Readiness date, desired laycan and target shipment method
- Loading and discharge terms; crane, lashing, survey and tally requirements
- Port captaincy, technical attendance or floating crane work appointed to SVC
11
Another loading port or a wider cargo worklist
For cargo leaving Ha Tinh, see shipping from Vung Ang. For another Vietnamese loading terminal, send the same cargo and handling particulars with the exact location. SVC examines the vessel, freight and appointed cargo operation for that shipment.
Keep the freight enquiry tied to the physical work: what must be lifted, where it will be stowed, who carries out the securing and what records are required at completion. These details give the commercial negotiation a workable loading plan.

Questions about shipping from Dung Quat
Can SVC charter a vessel for industrial cargo from Dung Quat?
SVC examines the cargo quantity, dimensions, port requirements and readiness window, approaches suitable tonnage and negotiates the appointed freight or voyage charter terms. The vessel proposal depends on the actual cargo and loading and discharge conditions.
What details are needed for a heavy or fabricated unit?
Send unit dimensions and weights, the maximum lift, drawings, lifting points, centre of gravity, photographs, readiness date and both terminals. Identify any special lifting, securing, survey or vessel-side attendance required.
Does SVC carry out cargo lashing at Dung Quat?
Our lashing crews perform the commissioned securing scope, with welders for agreed sea fastening where required. The worklist, materials and attendance window are defined against the cargo, stowage arrangement and access to the vessel.
Can the enquiry include floating crane and technical work?
Yes. Identify the lift weights, cargo site, vessel gear and working window. SVC examines the crane and transfer plan and defines its appointed operation, securing or equipment-repair scope separately in the quotation.
