Underwater Hull Cleaning and Inspection at Vissai, Cua Lo

Published

SVC Marine's divers carried out underwater hull cleaning and propeller polishing while the vessel was loading at Vissai anchorage, Cua Lo, Vietnam. The work addressed marine growth on the hull and propeller.

This work record brings together the cleaning scope and the underwater inspection records. For a similar attendance, agree the areas to be cleaned, inspection coverage and reporting requirements with the diving team before the job.

01

Hull cleaning and propeller polishing during loading

Hull cleaning and propeller polishing addressed marine growth as part of the vessel's underwater maintenance. For a similar job, identify the hull areas and propeller work separately so the quotation and work record follow the requested scope.

02

Inspection records before and after cleaning

The original work record refers to photographs before and after underwater cleaning and to inspection videos. Before-work and after-work records help the vessel's team review the areas covered and identify observations requiring repair or further inspection.

For an inspection enquiry, specify the underwater areas to be examined and the required photograph, video and report format. Any survey attendance or additional underwater repair must be agreed for the particular scope.

03

Plan the next Cua Lo underwater worklist

For underwater hull cleaning in Cua Lo, identify the surfaces to be cleaned: waterline growth, the bow area or submerged hull plating. List propeller polishing separately so its work coverage and photo records remain clear. Our divers carry out the appointed cleaning and record the completed areas for the vessel team.

Underwater inspection in Cua Lo can be included in the same worklist. Identify the hull, rudder, propeller or sea-chest areas to examine, and specify the still images, video and written findings needed in the SVC diving report. The report identifies the areas examined, the findings and the work that needs attention before the vessel’s next call.

SVC diving teams also carry out underwater inspection and hull cleaning for calls at Vung Ang and Son Duong and Hon La. Send the port and underwater worklist with the enquiry so the attendance and SVC report match that call.

04

Send a Cua Lo diving enquiry

Send the port or anchorage, ETA and ETD, available working window, vessel dimensions and requested hull areas to [email protected]. Identify propeller polishing, sea-chest cleaning and underwater inspection separately where required so the quotation defines the intended work.

Include the vessel or agent contact, access restrictions and reporting requirements. Attendance is planned against the vessel's operations, site conditions and the agreed diving arrangements.
