Plan onboard repair at Vung Ang General Port

SVC Marine handles ship repair enquiries at Vung Ang General Port, covering appointed steel, pipework, mechanical and electrical work. Send the defect information and available port-stay window so the repair team can identify the onboard scope, materials and any workshop preparation.

Name the actual terminal and berth in the enquiry. Vung Ang General Port and Son Duong are separate work locations; the location needs to be clear when arranging personnel, materials and vessel access. Include ETA, ETD, cargo operations affecting access and the vessel or agent coordination contact.

02

Define the repair worklist

A useful worklist describes the observed defect and the equipment involved. Include photographs, marked drawings and known dimensions, and distinguish work requiring onboard inspection from materials that can be prepared before attendance.

  • Steel and pipework: affected location, dimensions, material specification, access and photographs of the surrounding structure or connections.
  • Mechanical work: equipment maker and model, observed fault, component references and available drawings.
  • Electrical work: motor or generator details, reported fault and any available inspection or test records.
  • Workshop preparation: items to be removed or fabricated, handling arrangements and the vessel's return or installation window.

03

Agree attendance and completion records

The quotation defines the appointed work, materials, deliverables and exclusions. Identify vessel-side isolation, safe access, port entry or work permissions, and any class or survey attendance required for the scope. Additional findings are recorded and submitted as a separate work proposal for approval.

Agree the handover records with the vessel's team: work performed, progress photographs, relevant test records and any outstanding items. These records should follow the actual agreed scope and distinguish completed work from items requiring further attendance.
