01
Underwater hull inspection and cleaning
SVC Marine provides underwater hull inspection and cleaning in Vietnam. Our divers inspect the agreed hull areas and submerged fittings, record visible condition and carry out the commissioned cleaning work. Hull cleaning, propeller inspection and propeller polishing can be planned within the same port call, with separate work items and reporting requirements.
Begin the enquiry with the port or anchorage and the vessel's available window. Identify the hull areas, fittings or propeller items to be inspected or cleaned. State what records the owner requires and whether attendance is linked to a specific technical or Surveyor request. Local permissions and the actual operating conditions form part of the work arrangements.

02
Hull fouling and visual records
The Vissai Cua Lo underwater case includes waterline fouling, barnacle growth, underwater plating and propeller CCTV photographs. The project photographs record visible hull fouling and the underwater areas covered during attendance.
For a new request, send the available hull-condition information and identify the intended work areas. Distinguish visible growth from a suspected defect that requires inspection. If earlier footage or reports exist, provide their references through the private enquiry channel. Keep dates and locations attached to the records so an older view is not presented as the current condition.
03
Inspection areas and reporting needs
List the areas to be recorded, such as hull plating, propeller, rudder or specified underwater fittings, according to the actual request. State whether still images, video references or a written report are needed. Coverage and records should be agreed before attendance for the actual vessel and inspection areas.
The underwater CCTV and diving-report record provides related reporting context. A short public image selection is visual context, while the agreed report identifies the areas inspected and the recorded observations. It should remain clear what was included, what could not be recorded and which questions require further technical assessment.
04
Cleaning scope and propeller work
Define hull cleaning areas separately from propeller inspection or polishing. Requests may involve different surfaces, tools, documentation and acceptance requirements. State the known coating information and any applicable technical instructions. The work plan must address the actual vessel, worksite and permissions. SVC confirms the permitted scope and attendance arrangements for the requested location.
For propeller-related requests, see propeller inspection and polishing. Blade repair is a different scope, linked through propeller repair. List any suspected propeller damage separately so inspection, polishing and repair can be quoted as distinct work items.
05
Inspection records and completion reporting
Before-and-after photographs record visible condition at identified work areas. The report should state the inspection coverage, cleaning completed, remaining fouling or defects observed, and areas that could not be accessed. Specify any comparison method or Surveyor attendance required in the agreed scope.
The public gallery retains the original case links so each photograph can be understood in context. For a wider underwater repair enquiry, see underwater welding and repair. The requested inspection, cleaning and repair items should stay individually identifiable in the worklist, quotation and completion records.
06
Plan attendance around the actual port call
Send the port or anchorage, ETA, ETD, available working period and any vessel restrictions with the defect list. SVC reviews the required access, planned cargo operations and other work that affects attendance. The quotation identifies inspection, parts, fabrication, onboard labour, testing and any attendance by a Surveyor. Agree the required completion records, witness arrangements and handover responsibilities before work starts so each item can be followed through to completion.
For a wider worklist, use SVC Marine ship repair services. Email the repair enquiry with drawings, equipment references and photographs through the private enquiry channel. SVC Marine is proud to help complete the full lifecycle of a vessel.

FAQ
Is inspection the same as cleaning?
No. Define the inspection areas and reporting needs separately from the surfaces to be cleaned.
Can cleaning be arranged at every port?
The actual location, permissions, vessel conditions and agreed scope must be assessed for each request.
What records can be included at handover?
Agree photographs, video references and a written report identifying the areas inspected or cleaned, recorded condition and any areas that could not be accessed.
