01

Underwater isolation

Our divers plugged the overboard openings. The corresponding valve could then be removed from the engine room side to inspect the internal condition of the piping.

02

Pipe renewal in the engine room

The damaged pipe section was cut at the existing weld seam. SVC Marine fitted a prefabricated replacement pipe and new flange, prepared the bevels and completed TIG welding. The published work record also identifies the use of BELZONA 1212.

03

Removal of plugs and testing

After the repair work, the underwater plugs were removed and testing was completed. The original report records the scrubber overboard piping operating in good order after the test.

04

One underwater and onboard repair scope

The case connects diver attendance, valve access, prefabrication, engine room pipe work and final testing. For a similar repair, send overboard arrangement drawings, pipe material and dimensions, photographs, defect details, vessel location and ETA.
