Port information and service details

Dinh Vu Port's listed quays in Hai Phong are container berths. For an appointed vessel call, SVC Marine reads the repair worklist or supply requisition, boards when access is approved, and carries out the agreed vessel-side work. Send the terminal, berth or anchorage, ETA, defect photographs and available work window so the right SVC team can assess the job.

01

Dinh Vu Port and the actual working berth

The maritime authority lists the berths operated by Dinh Vu Port Investment & Development Joint Stock Company in the Dinh Vu area of Hai Phong as container berths. Other terminals in the wider Dinh Vu area have different operators and published functions. SVC plans each job for the identified Dinh Vu Port berth rather than treating the whole industrial area as one interchangeable terminal.

The operator and appointed port agent confirm the actual berth, vessel acceptance, cargo operation, access and port formalities. A service enquiry does not itself reserve a berth or permit onboard work.

  • Location: Dinh Vu area, Hai Phong, Vietnam
  • Listed operator: Dinh Vu Port Investment & Development Joint Stock Company
  • Published function of the operator's listed berths: container handling
  • For this call: confirm the terminal, berth or approved anchorage and working window with the operator and responsible agent

02

Assess the work before boarding

A container operation can restrict access, lifting and hot work. SVC reads the vessel's fault report or requisition against its ETA and cargo window, identifies the equipment and safe isolation needed, then agrees the permitted inspection or delivery scope. The vessel and operator control access; the responsible agent and authorities handle clearance and port formalities.

  • Repair: send the defect, machinery make/model, photographs, drawings, prior checks, spare-part position and time available for isolation and testing.
  • Supply: send item specifications, quantities, units, required delivery time and the approved receiving point.
  • Underwater or hot work: identify the requested inspection or repair purpose, permits, cargo restrictions and any surveyor attendance before a method is confirmed.

03

SVC Marine's appointed vessel work

SVC carries out the agreed vessel-side work after appointment and safe access. The berth operator, agent, yard and class keep their separate approvals and decisions.

  • Ship repair: SVC personnel board and inspect the agreed machinery, pipe, steel, hull or deck defect; carry out the permitted repair scope and record work completed, checks actually made and any remaining defects.
  • Ship supply: SVC checks the requisition, sources available provisions, stores or technical spares, delivers the agreed items to the approved vessel or handover point and records receipt.
  • Underwater inspection or hull cleaning: when separately appointed and diving is permitted, SVC divers inspect or clean the agreed area and provide photographs and work records. Class decides whether those records meet its own requirements.
  • Voyage or drydock repair: SVC inspects the worklist and can perform an agreed afloat scope or supervise a separately appointed yard job. The yard determines slot and facility availability.
  • Ship sale and purchase: under a separate client mandate, SVC searches container, bulk or general cargo vessels to the buyer's particulars, boards for an appointed inspection and negotiates or counters MOA terms.

What to send for a quotation

Identify the actual Dinh Vu terminal and vessel schedule, then send the repair worklist, supply requisition or S&P mandate to the relevant SVC team. SVC states the work it can perform and the access, specialist, yard or class decisions it needs before a firm scope is agreed.

  • Repair: equipment identification, symptoms, photographs, drawings, previous checks and spares
  • Supply: exact item specification, quantity, unit and receiving contact
  • Underwater or drydock: area, purpose, permission, survey requirement and work window
  • Brokerage: target vessel particulars, inspection scope and client's negotiation mandate

Frequently Asked Questions

Can SVC repair a vessel at Dinh Vu Port?

SVC can assess an appointed onboard repair from the defect report, photographs, ETA and working location. Boarding, isolation, hot work and timing depend on vessel and operator access and the cargo operation; SVC confirms the permitted scope before work.

Does SVC handle customs clearance or port permits?

SVC provides its repair, supply or inspection work records. The appointed port agent, operator and relevant authorities handle their own clearance, access and permit decisions. Send the agent contact so the work plan can use the correct approved entry point.

Can SVC deliver spares or provisions to a calling vessel?

For an agreed order, SVC verifies specifications and quantities, checks availability, delivers to the approved receiving point and records handover. Send the requisition, ETA and receiving contact; availability and access are confirmed for that call.

Is a bulk carrier or project-cargo ship automatically accepted at this berth?

No. The maritime authority lists the named Dinh Vu Port berths for containers. Other Dinh Vu-area terminals have their own functions. The operator and responsible agent must confirm the actual berth and vessel acceptance for a specific call.
