VIP Greenport is a container terminal in the Dinh Vu-Cat Hai port area of Hai Phong. For an appointed vessel call, SVC Marine reads the fault report or supply requisition, boards when access is approved, performs its agreed vessel-side work and records what was done. Send the berth, ETA, worklist and available cargo window before the scope is confirmed.

About VIP Greenport Container Terminal

Vietnam's maritime authority lists VIP Greenport as a container berth in Hai Phong. The operator describes its own quays, container yard and quay cranes. Those are port facilities, not SVC-owned equipment or proof that SVC has completed a particular job there. The operator and responsible agent confirm berth acceptance, cargo movements, access and port formalities for each call.

  • Location: Dinh Vu-Cat Hai area, Hai Phong, Vietnam
  • Listed operator: VIP Greenport Joint Stock Company
  • Published function: container handling
  • Operator-described facilities: quays, container yard and quay cranes
  • Actual berth, vessel acceptance and repair access: confirm with the operator and appointed agent

A repair work window alongside container operations

A container ship's working quay, crane movement and cargo plan constrain safe access to machinery spaces, deck equipment and the ship's side. SVC examines the reported defect and previous checks, then identifies isolation, tools, spares, lifting or hot-work permissions required for an agreed inspection or repair. A port call does not itself authorize an emergency response, crane-area entry or work outside the agreed window.

Where appointed, SVC technicians board, inspect mechanical, electrical, pipe or steel defects, perform the permitted repair scope and record the checks actually made and any outstanding defect. The vessel controls its equipment and isolation; VIP Greenport controls terminal access; class or statutory acceptance remains with the competent surveyor or authority.

  • Send the defect, equipment make/model, photographs or video, drawings, prior checks and spare-part status.
  • Give the berth or approved anchorage, ETA/ETD, cargo plan and time available for shutdown, testing and handover.
  • Identify any lifting, hot work or specialist attendance that needs separate vessel and terminal permission.

Supply, underwater work, docking and container-vessel brokerage

These are separate appointed scopes. SVC quotes the work it can perform; terminal, yard, agent and class decisions remain with those parties.

  • Container-vessel supply: SVC checks a requisition for provisions, stores or technical spares, confirms specifications and available stock, delivers the agreed items to the approved handover point and records receipt.
  • Underwater inspection, hull cleaning or propeller polishing: when separately appointed and diving is permitted, SVC divers inspect or work on the agreed submerged area and deliver photographs and work records. Visibility and safe access determine what can be observed or cleaned.
  • Drydock and class-related repair: SVC inspects the worklist, compares a yard's proposal and can supervise the appointed repair scope. The yard confirms its slot and performs its own assigned work; class decides its own findings and acceptance.
  • Ship sale and purchase: under a separate mandate, SVC searches container vessels to the client's particulars, boards for an appointed inspection and negotiates or counters MOA terms. This brokerage work does not imply SVC owns a vessel or represents VIP Greenport.

Quotation inputs

Send the repair worklist to the repair team or the supply requisition to the supply team. For diving or a yard job, include the inspection purpose, permit and survey requirement. For brokerage, identify the vessel particulars and client's mandate. SVC confirms its own scope against the call and access conditions.

  • Repair: fault, photos, equipment identification, spares and safe shutdown window
  • Supply: item specification, quantity, unit, delivery time and receiving contact
  • Underwater or yard: area, purpose, access, permit, survey requirement and worklist
  • Brokerage: target vessel particulars, inspection request and negotiation scope

Frequently Asked Questions

Can SVC inspect and repair a container ship during a VIP Greenport call?

SVC can assess an appointed onboard job from the defect, photographs, berth and ETA. Its technicians inspect and perform the agreed permitted scope after access and isolation are confirmed; terminal and cargo operations determine the workable window.

Does SVC issue port permits or clear customs?

SVC supplies its own work and delivery records. The appointed agent, terminal and authorities handle port entry, customs and permits within their respective responsibilities. Send the agent contact so the vessel work can use the correct approved access point.

Can SVC deliver provisions and machinery spares?

For an agreed order, SVC verifies items, quantities and availability, delivers to the approved handover point and records receipt. Send the requisition, ETA and receiving contact; no stock or delivery time is assumed before confirmation.

Can a diving or drydock enquiry be included with the port call?

SVC can assess each as a separately appointed scope. Diving needs safe conditions and permission; a drydock repair needs a yard slot and worklist. SVC provides its own inspection or supervision records, while the yard and class retain their decisions.
