Turnkey handover on 25 March 2024 after drydock, class transfer and full stores/spares provision.
HANOI/HAI PHONG — SVC Marine has completed the sale and delivery of the geared feeder containership Freighter (ex Bien Dong Freighter, IMO 9336335) to a buyer in Dubai for USD 4.8m. The mandate covered purchase through closing, drydock and upgrades, transfer to RINA (IACS), and a full pre-delivery package of provisions, bonded stores and critical spares, ensuring the vessel sailed “as-new” and ready for immediate service on the day of delivery, 25 March 2024.
Built in July 2006 at Bach Dang Shipbuilding, Haiphong, the ship is a cellular, geared container vessel with 610 TEU capacity and 2 × 40 t Towimor ship’s cranes—a configuration suited to mixed-infrastructure ports in the region.
Principal particulars include LOA 124.80 m, beam 19.00 m, DWT about 7,082 mt and VR class at inspection prior to transfer.
“The brief was simple: buy, dock, re-class and deliver a ship that feels brand new. We handled the worklist, surveys and supply chain so the vessel could sail on day one,” an SVC Marine spokesperson said.
