JIB CRANE NO.4 HAD BEEN BROKEN DURING DISCHARGING CARGO AT HAI PHONG VIETNAM

SVC Marine Services technicians had been attended onboard to survey and planning repair for JIB Crane broken.

Workflow:
1. The damage area to be cropped and renewed/fair up as sketch.
2. All reinforcement brackets for Jib body to be renewed.
3. Material to be used is high tensle steel AH36 thickness 10mm
4. Fit – up inspection to be confirmed by class surveyor before welding
5. Final accuracy of Jib crane after repair to be confirmed by Class surveyor.
6. UT and PT to be applied after welding finished and after load test onboard
7. Load test oboard after finished installation

Photos reports:

Transferring to shipyard.

Repairing and welding inspection in shipyard.

Transferring back on board, assemble and load test.
