Doosan Vina's Dung Quat industrial complex has its own port facilities for manufactured equipment and project cargo. For an appointed vessel call, SVC Marine reviews the repair or supply worklist, boards when access is permitted and performs the agreed vessel-side work. Send the ETA, working berth, defect photographs and work window so SVC can assess the job. Doosan Vina and the responsible agent control facility access and port formalities.

01

About Doosan Dung Quat Port

Doosan Vina describes the Dung Quat complex as a manufacturing base with dedicated port facilities. Its published equipment portfolio includes boilers, heat-recovery steam generators, desalination equipment and material-handling systems.

  • Location: Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai, Vietnam
  • Facility: port associated with Doosan Vina's manufacturing complex
  • Cargo context: large industrial equipment and project shipments
  • Berth, cargo plan, vessel access and restrictions: confirm with the operator and responsible agent for the actual call

02

Plan Vessel Work Around the Cargo Operation

Project cargo may occupy deck, hatch openings and lifting areas. The actual cargo and lifting plan determines a safe repair window. A published port description does not grant crane use, a lifting capacity, a hot-work permit or diving access.

SVC assesses the fault or requisition against the ETA, berth and receiving point. Before work near cargo operations, SVC identifies isolation, access, fire-watch and permit needs in the work method. The master, terminal and agent confirm their respective controls.

  • Confirm the berth or approved anchorage, ETA, ETD and cargo operation
  • Mark the work area on photographs or drawings, including any nearby lift or restricted deck zone
  • State whether hot work, diving, testing, class attendance or a specialist is required
  • Identify existing spares, delivery point and the time available for inspection and isolation

SVC Marine's Appointed Vessel Work

When commissioned and admitted to the vessel, SVC's personnel carry out the agreed marine work and record what was inspected, repaired or delivered. The port operator controls the berth, cranes and cargo-handling equipment.

  • Ship repair: board, inspect the reported mechanical, electrical, pipework or steel defect, agree the safe sequence, perform the permitted repair and record completed and open items.
  • Technical spares and provisions: check make, model, specification and quantity, source the agreed parts or stores, deliver to the approved handover point and record receipt.
  • Underwater inspection or cleaning: inspect and document the hull or propeller when SVC is appointed and diving is permitted. Class decides whether the evidence meets its survey requirements.
  • Drydock or voyage repair: inspect the worklist, compare yard scope and supervise separately appointed work. The yard decides slot and facility availability.
  • Ship sale and purchase: under a separate brokerage mandate, SVC sources suitable project-cargo or general-cargo tonnage, reviews particulars, boards for inspection when appointed and negotiates or counters MOA terms.
  • Crew movement or documentation: SVC can perform a separately appointed movement and provide its own work records. Customs, immigration, cargo permits and berth permissions remain with the agent, operator and authorities.

What to send for an assessment or quotation

Send the vessel's identifying particulars privately, ETA, berth or anchorage if known, agent contact and requested work window. SVC identifies what it can inspect, repair, deliver or negotiate under the appointment and what needs operator, yard, class or authority consent.

  • Repair: fault, equipment make and model, photographs, drawings, previous checks and spare-part status
  • Supply: item specifications, quantities, units and approved receiving point
  • Underwater or drydock: inspection purpose, survey requirement, worklist and access or permit status
  • Brokerage: vessel or cargo requirements and the client's mandate for negotiation

Frequently Asked Questions

Can SVC repair a vessel while it loads project cargo here?

SVC can inspect and quote the defect for an appointed call. Work alongside depends on the cargo operation, isolation, safe access, permits and agreed window. Send the fault photographs, worklist and schedule first.

Does SVC approve lifting, hot work or underwater surveys?

SVC prepares and performs the agreed work within the permissions granted for the job. The operator and vessel control site and safety approvals, the relevant authority controls diving permission, and class decides acceptance of its survey evidence.

Can SVC deliver spares and provisions to this port?

For an appointed order, SVC checks specifications and quantities, confirms availability and an approved handover point, then delivers and records the agreed items.

Can SVC find a vessel for project cargo from Dung Quat?

Under a brokerage appointment, SVC searches suitable tonnage, reviews particulars and negotiates or counters commercial terms within its mandate. Vessel suitability and the actual cargo plan require checks; the operator decides berth and cargo arrangements.
